...Director's
Note..
Being a director is a privilege.
Having
the support and the resources to shepherd your dreams from an idea
to an actual, tangible thing is an experience that very few will know
in their lifetime.
When
we set out to create the movie KATIEBIRD a handful of years ago, the
dream was smaller, the idea was less complicated and the resources,
though miniscule, were coming more or less from our own pockets and
our own hearts. The responsibility to succeed was a personal one,
and the rewards were equally personal. With A GOTHIC TALE, the challenges
have so far been of a different sort.
I've
learned to say less, think more, work harder and be grateful for each
moment I'm allowed to spend making the movie more special and complete.
It is amazing to me how much of myself I feel coming through in A
GOTHIC TALE, as a person and as an artist.
This
is an emotional horror film unlike any other I've seen or been a part
of. The creation of it has been exhausting spiritually, mentally and
physically. Now I'm ready to share it.
Thank
you to everyone for reading, for watching, for listening and responding.
